PTE (Pearson Test of English) is the English language test which is also used to evaluate the English proficiency of students as IELTS. This test is highly accepted by the universities, colleges and governments around the world and is the most unbiased proof of applicant’s English proficiency. It is a computer-based test and is of 3 hours duration. The test is categorized into three parts i.e. Speaking and writing (together), listening and reading. The total time allotted for this test is 3 hours and 10 minutes. PTE also has academic and general training.
Listening is the final section of the PTE test. The questions included in this section are based on audio or video clips played just once for the candidates taking the test. So, they need to listen to the clips very carefully and make notes as well. The audio or video clips are generally of 60-90 seconds and the candidates get 10 minutes to write their response in 50-70 words.
